The Maine Canoe Symposium is very family friendly. We have Pro-staff devoted to activities for children nearly all day, Saturday and Sunday.
We offer arts and crafts, canoeing, outdoor skills, living history activities, hikes up nearby Pleasant Mountain, swimming, games, a planetarium show, and time to just play in under the majestic pines of Winona.
"I really liked doing the planetarium and the hike up Pleasant Mountain. My favorite thing was swimming. Today I jumped off the diving board with my life jacket on. This symposium was great!!!!! I want to go again next year." --Katharina, age 7.
Saturday evening a highlight for all, young and old alike is the campfire led by Harry Rock.
"I had a great weekend! I really enjoyed the food. (I had third helpings on the strawberry shortcake!). All in all, I had a great time, ate good food, and learned a lot. Thanks. --Drew |
